What benefit is all the power of people's lives to the Governing Body?
by TimothyT inif the 7 million jw's mindlessly follow the governing body (which the majority do), of what benefit is it to the governing body?
that power over people's lives is nothing to boast about in my books.
i conclude that the only reason they so desire this power is because it brings money, authority and security to them.

Are the children of a state the responsibility of the state?
by sabastious ina few months back the newly appointed governor of wisconsin, scott walker, took a lot of heat for the monetary policies he put in place.
i remember hearing him make statements to the crowds regarding the future of the "children of wisconsin.
" he made a point to mention the children's future in regard to their debt that was feared as too big for the future to handle.. how would governor walker react to witness child policies if he was told what actually takes place in many congregations of jehovah's witnesses.

The Real Issues Facing former Jehovah's Witnesses

esp from (thinking for) themselves.. however, the real dillema's facing an ex jw who leaves, whether on their own terms or being disfellowshipped are real and haven't changed.. .
lonliness, how to make friends, is a big issue.. fear, esp fear based on superstition, a fear of god and of the future that is not in any way based in proveable fact.. education, how to think and reason critically to avoid being taken advantage of is a big challenge.. love, sex, and how to navigate your way around all of that hot mess.. geez, yeah, forgot.

David Splane's Eternal Torment
by Damn The Watchtower indavid splane not only believes in eternal torment, he practices it.. in our 2010 dvd, jehovah's witnesses faith in action, part 1: out of darkness , br.
splane said this starting at 14:16, "he (russell) could never reconcile the teaching of eternal torment with the description of the bible of a loving god.
as he examined the creeds of the great churches when he saw that they taught that the wicked are tormented eternally, why, he just could not accept that.

The two witness rule on child abuse still makes my blood boil
by life is to short intoday while i was working i remembered a wt on there having to be two witness to a person who comes forward later in life saying he had been molested as a chld and i was thinking no it really could not have been to blatant like i remembered it.
sadly i did find it and no i remembered it right.
it to me is sick!
